‘Carrier’ Jason Statham was once an Olympic athlete

At age 23, actor Jason Statham represented Great Britain at Games the 1990 Commonwealth in Auckland, New Zealand. At the competition, he participated in the 1m diving, 3m diving and 10m diving events. But he did not achieve the expected success when he only reached 8th place in the 1m diving event and ranked 11th in the remaining 2 events.

At that time, Jason Statham had a toned physique and thick, shiny black hair. This look is in complete contrast to the familiar “skinhead” image of the Transporter star .

Jason Statham tried twice in the Olympic qualifiers in 1988 in Seoul and Barcelona in 1992 but did not make the final list. Sharing about this memory, the actor born in 1967 said: “I spent 12 years playing for the national team.
