KISS Legend Gene Simmons Says Taylor Swift is ‘Taking Over’ the Music Industry

It turns out everyone – even KISS legend Gene Simmons – is a Taylor Swift fan today.

Simmons recently spoke with Page Six at his Rock & Brews restaurant in El Segundo, California. During the conversation, he praised Swift for her talent and her mark on the music industry.

“There’s no question, Taylor Swift has taken over and she’s great,” Simmons told Page Six during his interview.

“I’m a fan. I know her, and she’s a really solid person,” he continued. “Other than that, I’m not sure what’s cool.”

Last August, another member of KISS, Paul Stanley, took his family to one of Swift’s Eras Tour shows.

At the time, Stanley shared a tweet praising Swift.

“6 shows at SoFi Stadium for a total of A HALF MILLION PEOPLE and I know why… PHENOMENAL SHOW BY A PHENOMENAL ARTIST,” he wrote. “Thanks to her staff for rolling out the red carpet for us.”

KISS Legend Gene Simmons Discusses Taylor Swift’s SuccessAccording to Page Six, “Simmons dropped Swift’s name after reflecting on the musical legends of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. The ‘God of Thunder’ rocker noted that, aside from Swift, today’s talent roster can’t really compare to the true excitement the music world experienced at that time.”

Simmons noted, “When we were growing up in the ’60s, we had Led Zeppelin, The [Rolling] Stones, The Beatles, Elvis, Pink Floyd, Madonna, Motown and all of that, Prince, David Bowie.

“All of that was happening at the same time,” he added. “What’s happening now?”

On X, many users shared their opinions on Swift – as well as Simmons’s praise of her.

“Whether people like her music or not, Taylor is one of the most amazing and hardest working among other women in the music biz today. 💯 respect,” one person wrote.

Why not? Her music is great,” another added.
