After retiring from the NFL in 2023, Tom Brady started his new career as a Fox broadcaster in the 2024 regular season. While Brady has a great time commentating during NFL games, he’s struggled with an ideal work-life balance.

On Friday, the former Patriots star in an interview with PEOPLE opened up about his parental struggles amidst his new full-time job. Talking about balancing his life between work and kids, Brady said:

“I do have a pretty full-time job now at broadcasting and still being a parent, and it’s a lot for all of us. We have our work life that we hopefully all enjoy, and then we get to go home and then we’ve got to put time in there. I’m doing what I love doing, which is hanging out with my family and my kids, and obviously fulfilling my responsibilities at work.”

Brady spent the summers with his kids before his new Fox sports gig. He attended the Olympics 2024 in Paris with his daughter Vivian after sneaking in for dinner in New York City with his elder son Jack. The quarterback kept a low profile during his dinner date.

This isn’t the first time that Brady has talked about his parental struggles. During an interview in August earlier this year, Brady opened up about his experience being a single parent, following his divorce from his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen.

Tom Brady became a single parent to Vivian, Jack and Benjamin after he divorced his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. During an on-stage conversation with Stephen A. Smith at Fanatics Fest, Brady elaborated on his parental experience as a single father.

“I got a lot of things that keep me busy but still trying to be a great dad and be there for my kids. And all the parents out there know that it’s a challenge to be a good parent. And all the kids, I hope you appreciate your parents too! Because there’s a lot of work they put into making your life a little easier,” Brady said.

“Every time they call me, I know there is a request because when they don’t call, I don’t hear from them. And when I don’t hear from them, I know they don’t want anything.”

Despite not being on the field, Brady hasn’t changed his workout ethics much. The Patriots legend recently dropped his workout routine on Instagram, attaching pictures of his ripped physique.
