Small business owners reveal whether they support Donald Trump or Kamala Harris and the main issue driving them to vote

A new survey asked hundreds of small businesses who they believe would be a better presidential candidate, and the results weren’t close.

With just over a month until the November election and with ballots already in the hands of voters the Job Creators Network Foundation (JCNF) polled 400 small business employers.

These business operators largely had the same answer: .

Former President Trump holds a 12-point edge over Vice President  among small businesses nationwide.

Specifically, 51 percent of employers responded the ex-president will do a better job helping small businesses while 39 percent said Harris.

The stunning results come as the wellbeing of the economy consistently ranks as a top concern among voters.

Also uncovered by the JCNF survey is a closer look at how small business voters identify themselves politically.

According to their poll 35 percent of those surveyed were Republican, 30 percent were Democrats and 33 percent were Independents.

These respondents also said that crime has either gone up in their areas, with 51 percent saying it has been on the rise.

‘Small businesses are struggling amid the economy of the last few years, with the ripple effects of high inflation being a major challenge,’ JCNF President Elaine Parker told DailyMail.com in a statement.

‘Main Street needs pro-growth, pro-opportunity policies rather than an agenda that discourages entrepreneurship and slows economic expansion.’

Additionally respondents slammed the President Joe Biden and VP Harris’s handling of small business-related matters over the last couple years.

When asked to grade the Biden-Harris administration the business owners overwhelmingly gave the Democrats a negative grade, C, D or F.

The most common answer among respondents was F, with 35 percent delivering their damning assessment that the White House has failed.

Overall, the results of the JCNF concluded that small business owner’s sentiment about the economy dropped for the first time in nearly a year since last November.

Many of these voters, not just business owners, also gave her mixed economic reviews.

Some 55 percent said she was to blame for high levels of inflation.

On the other hand, 45 percent associate her with significant economic growth, the same proportion that say she was not responsible.
